The Waste Reset tool provided by Printer Potty is a custom version of the WICReset tool available through various outlets on the Internet.
Our particular version includes links to our own support documentation, news updates and other localised resources that we hope improve or surpass anything you might receive with the original utility.
Compatibility
The utility is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 (32/64 bit) and may well work with earlier Windows versions but has not been tested with these.
Requirements
The utility requires an active internet connection and access through it (ie: no firewall blocking) in order to complete the waste ink counter reset function but other functions (eg: Read waste counter) should work reasonably well without.
Note: Protected networks such as schools, hospitals, etc… may have difficulty using the reset function (see support docs)
Alternatives
For MacOS users the iWIC utility is likely to be more appropriate (more info)
